Gourmet Garage has embarked on our own green initiative strategy designed to lower our companies carbon footprint, while generally creating a retail environment friendly to partners participating in sustainable practices. These include but are in no way limited to:

• Bag recycling and the sale of reusable bags
• Use of refit and retrofit equipment in stores.
• Participation in shared green energy program.
• Compost program for all kitchen and food service areas within the company.
• Use of more efficient low demand refrigeration units.
• Use of recycled and found lumber in new store furniture and fixtures.
• Overall friendly environment to animal products produced in a humane method.
• Thriving and growing organic department.

Gourmet Garage is committed to selling only cage-free or better eggs. We are beginning this process now and expect to have a 100% cage-free egg selection by mid- October 2017
