Ingredients
1 1⁄2 cups (3 sticks) Bowl & Basket unsalted butter, at room temp
1 cup Bowl & Basket granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp Bowl & Basket vanilla extract
3 1⁄2 cup Bowl & Basket all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and in a large bowl sift together flour and baking powder. Set aside.

2. With either a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat butter until soft and creamy, about 1-2 minutes, then add in sugar and beat for an additional minute or until well incorporated.

3. Next, beat in egg and vanilla extract until mixture is smooth and creamy.

4. With the mixer on the lowest setting, gently beat in flour mixture. When mixture becomes too thick, switch to a spoon to finish stirring in the rest of the flour to make a smooth dough.

5. Place dough into a cookie press and form cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet.

6. Bake cookies for 10 minutes, or until edges are just set (don’t let the cookies brown too much!)

7. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before gently removing to finish cooling on wire racks.

8. Decorate with sprinkles or dip in chocolate, if desired.
