Ingredients
1 lb Ronzoni No. 9 Thin Spaghetti Pasta
3 tbs Bowl & Basket Classic Olive Oil
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups Tuttorosso Diced Tomatoes
3 tbs chopped fresh basil leaves
Salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
Directions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  2. Drain pasta but reserve ½ cup of pasta water for the sauce.
  3. While water is heating up, begin to make the Pomodoro sauce.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add onion and cook until softened, about 6-8 minutes.
  6. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute before adding in chopped tomatoes.
  7. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes before reducing heat and simmering sauce for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Stir in basil leaves.
  9. Add pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet with the Pomodoro sauce and toss gently to combine.
  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
